Dubai Event invites scientists from around the world to meet global challenges – apply to participation

Are you an idea researcher that can support you solve one of the most smoking problems? The conference in Dubai in November will present research on a wide global social and environmental problems. And you can now apply for commitment – and present your work.

Prototypes for humanity, an organization behind the event, will invite a group of older scientists to a three -day forum, which will promote creative scientific solutions from around the world and will act as a platform for international research cooperation.

Within the newly established Professor’s programSelected researchers will travel to the United Arab Emirates, and the organizers of the events cover the costs of flights and accommodation.

1. Well -being and future health
How can we best employ the latest technological achievements that support people live longer and better? From precision medicine to artificial intelligence systems, this category includes key questions about access to healthcare and the way of supporting an aging society.

2. Sustainable and resistant infrastructure
This topic examines how we design, build and maintain infrastructure, which is not only functional, but also came. Applications may include how to develop cities that are able to better deal with the extreme atmosphere, methods for improving water management and fresh models of sustainable transport.

3. Artificial and extended intelligence

Great ideas

Last year, over 2,700 entries were submitted to the Prototype Program for humanity. They came from 800 universities around the world – many of the institutions that are members of the global media conversation network.

At the last event, over 100 projects were presented, in which Stephen Khan, the editor of The Conversation UK, who wrote a blog about his experiences.

“In the conversation it was an introduction to some projects that I expect you to hear and read more in our content in the coming months,” he said.

“Although we rightly assess and explain the events as happening, providing information about fresh research and particularly creative solutions born in laboratories, studies and seminars of our partner universities is also the main element of our mission, because we try to be a comprehensive conveyor of academic knowledge.”

Prototypes for humanity are supported by the Dubai government and tries to place a city in the Middle East at the center of academic research solutions. The Forum also awards $ 100,000 for creative research projects, recognizing the involvement of scientists in finding solutions to the world’s largest problems.
